Are you feeling movement yet?

Me (Holly) - Yes, I am. I started feeling him at about 16 weeks (second child) and am feeling him more and more. Nothing consistent yet, but I have been able to feel him from the outside too. I absolutely love being able to feel him moving around in there!

Re: ~November Ninjas Monday Check In~

  • I felt a couple flutters on my cervix between 14-16 weeks. now, if I don't take a walk I get a good whopping kick at night in the cervix. Last night I was taking a bath and felt a good kick a little higher. Just one, but it was solid! Iw as very excited.

  • I feel my little Peep all day... mostly in the morning, but today all morning the baby has been going nuts in there....

DH felt one huge kick so far but that was about it.

I "think" I have been feeling occasional movement. I'm really not sure, this is my first pregnancy & with all the new & unusual feelings I've been having, I'm not sure if it is baby or not.
  • Are you feeling movement yet?

I haven't felt anything but I know it's only a matter of time until I do.

  • Have been since about 15 weeks!! Now it's changed from little taps to the point where I can feel it brushing past as it flips over. And the taps aren't taps any more!! Definite kicks!!

  • Yes! I started feeling her move at about 18 weeks. I feel her move everyday. Kicking and flipping. I can see them from the outside now. My DH thinks it is so cool.

  • Yes, since about 18 weeks. I can feel it more on the outside now, but nothing really super strong yet for DH to feel.
  • I  have been feeling little flutters since around 14 weeks. Every once in a while I feel a real kick sometimes it can be felt on the outside. Dh hasn't been able to feel anything yet.

I'm about to send down an apple. That always starts a party in my belly!

  • I'm having my big u/s tomorrow and I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, just had to get that out there!

This is my third baby and I started feeling it move early, around 13 weeks, but it was just once in a while. In the past week or so I've been feeling it move throughout the day. Last night the baby seemed to have the hiccups. It was so cute!  Smile

  • Yes, I can definitely feel her, although it's usually only in the morning and late afternoon. I can't wait for DH to feel her from the outside in a few weeks!

  • I think I am every once in a while I feel little pops and butterflys so I am guessing thats the baby. Its not everyday though which really stinks. When i use my doppler I can hear her moving around in there.

This, exactly.  I often think that I am feeling her moving around in there, but I'm not confident about it at all.  I am still looking forward to being certain about it, even though I am sure that will be quickly followed by an "ouch, stop kicking mommy so hard!"  :)

  • Started at 15 weeks ( second also) now I feel hard kicks :) Loving every minute of my active, kicking peanut!

  • Yes - this is my second I started feeling DD around 18 weeks and with this baby I started feeling movement around 16 weeks - its still not very much but everyonce in a while.
  • Heck yeah. Just to the left of the belly button - lots. We went to our u/s and it turns out that is where her feet are. Makes sense!

  • To tell you the truth I don't know! I feel all sorts of flutters and twitches and things. I'm not too concerned, I'm sure soon enough I will know it's baby for sure. Smile

  • Movement is becoming considerably more consitent. Not predictable yet, but consistent. DH hasn't felt anything, and I haven't been able to see/feel from the outside either.

  • Yep and I love it! It is so amazing! I have been feeling him/her since about 16 weeks or so. I wasn't sure if that's what it was at the time or not, but since then it's gotten more consistent and even stronger. Still can't really feel it from the outside yet.

THIS!!! I do hope and think it's the baby though...

  • Yes!  I've been feeling flutters since about 15 1/2 weeks.  I felt a few taps at 17 weeks, and then again yesterday (18 weeks, 2 days).  Mostly, though, it just feels like I've got a large fish swimming around in my belly Stick out tongue.  I can't wait to feel her from the outside and for DH to feel her, too!
  • Are you feeling movement yet?Yes!!! I started feeling movement at 13 weeks (I know it's very early, but i've VERY petite and didn't gain any weight until between my 15 and 19 week appts).  The movement was sporadic for the first few weeks, but i've been feeling consistent movement for the past 2-3 weeks now. I love feeling her move although as soon as DH puts his hand on my stomach she quiets down. I think because he is soothing to me it calms her down as well.

  • Yep,  it's amazing.  The flutters were neat, but the first time I realized I was being kicked was something else entirely.  Baby has been really active since about 19.5 weeks.  I notice alot of movment in the morning before I get out of bed, at night while watching TV and when I go to bed.  I feel a little other movement here and there throughout the day.  This guy is VERY active and has been having quite the game of soccer in there lately!

  • I've been feeling little flutters for a few weeks, but then last weekend while I was laying in bed putting off getting started with my day I felt some for-sure, no mistaking it movement! It was awsome!

Since then I've been getting the occasional nudges and tickles, and twice a really hard thump..I swear I think the kid is head butting me in the tummy!

LOL, we have a little head banger!

  • Oooh ya, especially in the last week and a half or so. I swear I have a little kickboxer in there!
  • vspekvspek member

I started feeling some flutters and a small kick at 16 weeks, then it stopped for a while and then I started feeling her again around 19 weeks. At my 20 week appointment my doctor was able to feel her on the outside and then I felt her on the outside this weekend too. It was just a small tap, but was still nice.

Usually I get a kick when we are talking about her or when I missed my meal time. I can't wait to feel her more often.

  • Yes... flutters started kinda early around 14 weeks for sure... and I can feel actual movement at times now as well.  It's usually in the evenings when I finally get to lay down for the evening and relax...

  • Yes. I started feeling flutters at 16 weeks.  Then two weeks ago it was a big roll.  Just the past week or so its been little thumpy kicks.  For one I even had my hand at the right place at the right time and felt from the outside!

DH is disappointed that he can't feel yet but I just keep telling him to be patient.   He'll feel it soon.

I felt my first kick at 17 weeks exactly - now that I know what other movement (the light flutters) feel like - I am pretty sure I felt them a bit earlier than that, too.

DH got to feel him move for the first time on Father's Day, and not once since! Every time he kicks me a few times, I tell DH he can feel, and he gets very excited, but the little one ALWAYS stops then.

    Oh well :)

I absolutely love feeling him move, especially when it's unexpected, like when I'm sitting at my desk at work. It is a wonderful distraction :)

Hope everyone has a good Monday!

  • I just e-mailed you the gender.  We found out today we are having another GIRL.  We are so excited!

QOTD:  I've been feeling movement for about 5 weeks.  It's my 3rd and I'm pretty small, so I felt it pretty early.  They've definitely been getting much more noticeable though.

  • Are you feeling movement yet?

Yes, I started feeling movement around 17 weeks. Still waiting for DH to feel her from the outside.

  • I've been feeling the baby since about 17 weeks. I had one strong one that I felt from the outside. This week it has been a bit of a strange feeling either on my cervix or more internal feeling, almost like I feel it on the back wall. I don't know if that's possible but it's a strange sensation.

We had the big u/s today and the baby was head down, back out with his/her feet by the face or curled into the chest. So it would make since that I'm feeling a lot on my cervix and in the back. Every so often I think I get an elbow to the stomach though. It's fun to begin feeling him/her more often and becoming stronger.

  • QOTD: YES! I started feeling him at about 16 weeks and then DH felt him at 18 weeks. I love seeing him move from the outside, so much fun! He is super playful too! If DH or I press on my tummy he will kick back at us! We've also been reading to him and he starts moving like crazy when we do that! Feeling him move is by far my favorite thing of pregnancy!

  • I have had lots of movement since week 15!

I felt kicks today!!!  I was getting so impatient-I felt flutters about 3 1/2 weeks ago but it's only been 2 or 3 times since then..  Today was the big payoff because I was starting to get paranoid.  It was a good few minutes of steady whaps an inch or 2 below my belly button-during a class I am taking which was amusing:)

  • I have been feeling a lot of movement in the past few days.  I started feeling flutters about a month ago, and now I am feeling kicks. I haven't been able to feel her from the outside yet, hopefully soon though so DH can feel her too.
  •  I had felt flutters for a little while maybe 13-14 weeks then seemed to have disappeared, then again at 18 weeks started feeling more movement then all of sudden turned into I could feel them on the outside. DH felt it once so far. It's def. earlier this time around than it was for DD. I think we didn't feel her on the outside until about 23 weeks or so.  I love it because I know the baby is doing good :0).
