Though I LOVE the Victoria Beckham bob also, getting a drastic haricut during pregnancy is something I've been warned about many times. It seems like every woman has an urge to get her hair cut short at some point in pregnancy and generally just ends up hating it. I had to basically keep myself away from scissors for a month because I wanted to cut mine so badly. But, eventually the need passed and I'm glad that I didn't do it. I would wait until after LO is here.
I tried to get a low-maintenance cut. It didn't work. For some reason the girl who did my hair thought "low maintenance" meant only needing a straightener, 3 different products, and 2 kinds of hairbrushes to make my hair look decent. I've learned how to work around it so it doesn't take too long, but I still wasn't happy.
A really short bob could work, but it depends on your hair and how it'll dry for you on days when you don't have time to style it. So you'd have to know how your hair will act.
I got the beckham bob when I was pg with DD. It was the highest maintenance haircut I've ever had.
If you must cut, cut really short or just trim.
You won't really "need" a mom cut until your DC is a little older. I mean, you never really "need" one, but hair pulling in my experience doesn't start till a few months post partum.
I had 4 inches cut off my hair and I hate it. They also gave me what were supposed to be cute side swept bangs and they are just a horrible unevenly cut mess.
I had my hair cut into a "victoria beckham" bob when DD turned a year old because I had more time to do my hair with her being more independent. Now that DC #2 is on the way I'm growing it out knowing that I won't have the time that I need in the morning to style it. For me I need the convenience of being able to throw my hair up in a pony tail.
My hair was so long that it fell just a few inches above my butt and I recently had it cut up to my collarbone and added lots of layers. It's still long enough to put in a ponytail if I'm feeling really lazy. I love it, but like the PP said people usually end up regretting drastic hair cuts during pregnancy. I don't think I'll regret my new do but I'm also not one to get too attached to my hair. I always figured it will just grown back if I really hate it. I guess it all just depends on how attached you are to your hair! LOL
The Beckham bob is really cute... but, like pp's said, pretty high maintenance. When DS was a newborn, I felt like I barely had time to shower, nevermind blow dry my hair. My hair was layered at the time, so I could either let it air dry or put it up in a ponytail. You can't get lower maintenance than a ponytail!
My hair is already super short...(think Kate from j&K+8, only shorter in the front and not quite as scary looking) so I'm not too worried about having to take care of it...The only thing I really need to do is keep it trimmed up off my neck, otherwise it drives me crazy. (Also, it looks really funny when I wear it up in pigtails)
nope, keeping it the same. while i know some things will change and i won't have all the time i used to for myself, i still plan on making me time & taking care of myself - hair, pedicures, working out, etc.
I'm refraining from cutting my hair until after the baby is born. Mainly I want it long so I can get it out of my face during labor. If it was hanging down it would drive me insane.
Everyone has warned me not to let myself get the "mom cut". I have never found short hair to be easier anyways - it requires a whole lot more styling, with long/medium length hair you can always wash and towel dry and throw it in a pony tail or a bun and pull it out later and it should look pretty ok. My main thing is to put on a big head band and wear it in a messy type bun when I dont have time.

i had about 8 inches cut off a month or so ago. I was so hot with long hair. I got a short bob that is longer in the front than the back with an asymmetrical look having the left side a little longer than the right. It looks cute and it is easy to maintain. My hair is wash and go. Also, I get lots of compliments. I might have done it pregnant or not with the summer heat. I love it.

The same happened to me. I wanted it shorter for low maintenance and now I spend more time styling it.
Especially after reading all this, I think my long hair is easier - no styling or products needed and I can always put it in a ponytail, bun or braid to get it out of the way.
I agree about Kate's haircut, SO scary with the spikes! Eeek! ?

THIS!
I had been wanting to cut my hair for a while after our wedding and finally did so in January - about a week after finding out I was pregnant. I look back and realize it was a bad idea at the time - with morning sickness it was SO flipping hard to style my hair every morning. And although I looooove my stylist, the low maintenance bob was not low maintenance for me - I needed to go out and buy new brushes, a new straightener, new products to make it easier. And still even now it takes me longer than I'd like to fix it (granted, once morning sickness passed, I went and got it recut to the same style a couple times so I have "made my own bed"... I am finally letting it grow out now).
For me, I do now wish I would have left my hair long - only because when it's long, I can let it air dry and it looks acceptable for leaving the house. Not so much at this length. And with a baby - I dunno how I'm gonna have time to really sit there every day and straighten my hair as much as I do now. I like it, don't get me wrong! But here's hoping it grows grows grows in the next 9 weeks.
I'm keeping it long so I can pull it up in a pony tail. That is the most low maintenance thing I can do. If I get my hair cut short then it's always in my eyes and I can never do anything with it.

I like Victora Beckham's Do.
If i cut my hair DH would probably ask for a divorce. Haha, he loves my long hair.
