Does your baby "chew" on nothing?

DD is teething (her second one broke through a few days ago), and this morning DH and I noticed her chewing on something. I thought she had something in her mouth, but she didn't. Now for the past hour or so she has been moving her mouth like she's chewing on something. I'm guessing it has to do with teething, but it's kind of strange since I haven't noticed it before and she already has teeth. She's definitely not hungry because she had oatmeal and I nursed her a little while ago. Does anyone else's LO do this?

YES! DS does this all the time..but he has not cut any teeth yet. It's like he's chewing gum.

mine doesn't hav any teeth yet, but i've seen her do this..almsot looks like she's chewing on a piece of gum..lol

Mine doesn't have teeth either but I do think she is teething. She does this All the time, plus the lip smacking.

Ours does it too but he is not teething. It is a form of self-soothing! Encourage it!
