I have a nissan rogue and every mirror we buy (so I'm able to see her while she's rear facing) I'm not able to use because our headrests aren't removable/adjustable. Can anyone recommend a mirror that will work?
I can't remember the name of it but we got ours at walmart (its a tan color) and you adjust the mirror itself not the seat so when its already installed you can just push it around like its on a swivel.
the cop who inspected our carseat told us not to use a mirror. It can kill a child if it hits them in an accident. He also said not to put up toy bars on the carrier handle---the handle should not be "up" when the carseat is buckled in the car. He also said I shoudl put the cargo cover over things in the back of my SUV. Just something to think about.
I haven't had any issues not having a mirror. I can just reach back without taking my other hand off the wheel or eyes off the road and feel his face if I'm paranoid he's not breathing.
the handle should not be "up" when the carseat is buckled in the car.?
?
Actually this isn't true for all car seats. If you own a Graco Snugride and you read the owner's manual you will see that 2 of the 3 approved positions for riding in the car are with the handle up, and it is not approved to have the handle even with the top of the seat. I only know this because I took a class on car seat safety with DH. ?

This one looks like it might just wrap around headrest??
