GD+High BP+Protein=Hospital

last night I had quite a bit of swelling...so I tested my bp and it was 148/98.  Today I had my follow up meeting with my nutritionist...and she tested my bp and it was 152/98.  She called my OB who sent me to L&D to be monitored.  My urine sample came back +3, My blood pressure went up to 156/111, and my blood work came back "borderline".  So...here I am for 24 hours being monitored and doing a 24 hour urine sample to determine if it's just high BP (they gave me some meds to try to regular that) or if it's pre-eclampsia. 

I guess today was my last day of work! (Tomorrow was supposed to be...I'm a teacher and today and tomorrow were meetings and work days...).

    Update: They gave me BP meds that brought me down to 119/78...yay!  When they tested it again this morning before giving me another dose it was 146/90.....so high, but not nearly as bad as it had gotten last night...7 more hours of the 24 hour monitor...then hopefully some good news!

    I hope everything works out. I hate that you are dealing with this - I hate pre-e!  My situation with my son was similar to yours when I was put in the hospital and I am hanging out on bed rest with baby #2 so if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer for you!
