Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Anyone elses LO not rolling over yet?

I don't really feel like he's getting close. I want to think this is normal, and not the SB since they are saying he seems fully functional, but I feel like everyone elses 4-5 month old is already rolling over.

So...um...anyone else?

Re: Anyone elses LO not rolling over yet?

  • Ummm me but I know he can do it bc I he is sleeping on his belly at night and we put him down on his back. He just doesn't like to show us. If you look at my ticker he is almost six months - don't worry it will happen!

  • Not there yet - but wanted to say Hi Erin! Hope D is doing well! He is a cutie.
  • ERIN!

He is rolling....sporadically.  Back to tummy. It takes him forever to get all the way over though!

Hey girl! Ohhhh my, that Logan is SO cute! How are you doing?

By the by...we already picked out names for number two, and Logan is our boy name.

Hey Jessis! Hmmm. I did get him to roll from his side to his back today. I'm so impatient and need to stop projection my over-achieverness on him.

The PT people said to chill out because it can take up to 7 months for a "normal" baby. Errrrm...okay.

  • we have absolutely NO rolling whatsoever... and almost 6 months old!  the doc said not to worry about it, so i'm trying not to compare her to the other babies in our classes... Tongue Tied
  • Step away from the baby!  He's perfect.  K will roll to his side and quite literally stay there for a 1/2 hour before he a) decides to finally push himself all the way over or b) flop himself back on his back.

And D is normal.  Don't let anyone ever tell you different!  Such a precious little man!  We miss you around here.

  • Thanks girls. I'm glad to know you exist.

I sometimes think he is just to fasinated by his hand. Instead of lifting up during tummy time, he'll often just sit there chewing on himself.

Thanks! We're all doing good, adjusting to life! We never really pondered any other boy name, we both loved it from the first time we talked names and it stuck! But baby #2 is farrrr from my mind these days! :)

  • Jessis...Yeah. They started doing monitoring at work, so alas, I cannot NestBump. Sadness. And of course, the H works nights now, so I'm usually taking care of D, feeding myself or working out.

Fire...I'm glad y'all are adjusting. I've been seriously spoiled by this child and we're going to start TTC again in November. I mean...he already sleeps from 8 to 8. And he's been doing that for a month. Sometimes eve more! Like tonight, he decided to go to bed at 6. I'll wake him up to give him another bottle, but he'll just go right back to bed until 8am. He's so weird.

  • I wouldn't worry....my LO is a week away from being 4 months and he shows NO interst whatsover.  He loves being on his back and won't even roll any bit to the side.
  • No rolling here.  He's done each once and it was on accident and he's never done it again.  Totally normal.  Some babies don't bother rolling until way later.  As long as he's meeting other milestones, it's fine.  I was concerned too, but since DS is doing well in other areas, I don't push it.

  • I think DD was only rolling from front to back at 4 1/2 months. She just started rolling both ways at 5 months
