is he/she always falling and hurting themself? i guess it's just par for the course, and i need to let him pull up to learn...but he does it on everything, all the time, and then ends up hurting himself when he can't figure out how to "fall"...and i cant be there to catch him all the time. guess this is just the way it is in this phase?
Re: if your lo is pulling up on everything,
I supervise DD pretty closely, and catch her. But occasionally she'll just topple. But you know what? It freaks me out, but leaves her unphased. I think she's going to cry but she just rolls over and gets back to being busy with her toys or pulling up. I know she must be toppling over a daycare too and I guess she's just tougher than me.

DD learned pretty quickly how to fall on her butt and not her face. But, yeah in the beginning she got hurt a lot. It seemed she had bruises on her head every week!
I do think "teaching" them how to fall, or how to get off of furniture backwards is important. Obviously DD doesn't quite get it yet, but repetition helps that!
