NTTTCR: Party food ideas/recs

Hi girls! I am having a party this weekend and I wanted some opinions/ideas on my food if you don't mind.

One of my friends is a vegetarian so I want to make sure I am making stuff that he will eat too......what do you think? Am I making enough, too much? We have 12 people coming that I know of.

7 Layer Dip (veg friendly)
Ham and Cheese Ball (think ham/cheese roll ups, just in a ball, much easier!)
Spinach Artichoke Dip (veg friendly)
Obviously crackers/chip that will go with these dips
Wienies in BBQ Sauce
Cheesy Ranch Potatoes (veg friendly)
Meatballs
Some type of pasta salad (veg friendly)

Do I need more, should I do a veggie tray??? We haven't had a party since we moved to CA two years ago.............Help!!

  • i definitely think you need some veggies in there...  but maybe do a variety of roasted/grilled veggies tossed with some olive oil instead of just a raw tray?

and if you're looking for a good pasta salad recipe, i really like this one.   (that's from a WC nestie's blog)   plus, with the black beans in there, it is more filling for a vegetarian.

    otherwise, looks good!   have fun!!!

Brought to you by IVF, ICSI, limited fert, and oocyte cryopreservation.
    Because we're fancy like that.

  • I agree with the veggie comment and I think you need some sweets too! :)
  • You could make some stuffed mushrooms (super easy).

I stuff my mushrooms with Sun Dried Tomato Feta and bake them for about 10 minutes. They are Delish! and I agree about sweets Smile

  • Oh yes, we are definitely doing sweets! I just forgot to mention it, I am not having much trouble with that part, just want to make sure it's well rounded otherwise. Thanks for the ideas girls, and if you think of others let me know!!
