"If she were to breastfeed for one month, she can then switch to formula right?"

LC went on and on about how she shouldn't switch.

So he says "but she can if she wanted to, right?"

And LC says "yes of course"

And the husband turns to his wife and says "see, you can do your little breastfeed thing for a month to get the desire out of your system but after that you ARE switching to formula"

My fiance almost chocked on his soda. I would have *killed* him. Way to have a supportive hubby Yes

Wow, or at least waited until they got in the car to be an ***. I am a believer, though, that women know what they are marrying (and reproducing with) so in a way they bring it on themselves when they marry assholes. I'm sure his attitude towards her desires arnt new.

What did the LC say? My LC would have decked him. She is VERY pro-BF. What a douche. That is the only word to describe him.

Dh would probly be more like "why dont you TRY to breastfeed for a month, and then swtich if u dont liek it or it doesnt work well"....

even though i want to.. he's very supportive of whatever i want

She was really embarrassed. Her face turned bright red.

I don't care if he is supportive of bf'ing over formula or vice versa. But you don't belittle your spouse in front of a group of people like that. You discuss it in private and if its still something she wants to do then you suck it up and be supportive.
