Mucus Plug? (Maybe TMI)

So I did a disgusting thing and Googled the term "mucus plug"- Um, informative but *gag*!

I'm curious because for three days now I have been having this whiteish/snot looking discharge. It's sticky and kind of stringy. No blood though. 

Think this is my MP? A little worried because I just hit 35 weeks.

    It doesn't sound like a MP if its white and sticky.  Usually it's like a giant glob of snot.  It is normal to have increased discharge the last month-ish.

    Thanks. I feel like I am over-reacting to every little thing that is happening to my body. Maybe I'm a little anxious! It definitely isn't "liquidy" like snot.

    You are not alone on the over-reacting thing.  Even though this is my second, every little time I feel ANY wetness, I'm running to the bathroom to check for my MP.  Even though I know I'm just over 35 weeks and I know that it doesn't necessarily mean anything.  I'm just getting to that very anxious point!

    Congrats on your second! Good to know I'm not alone! :) When is your due date then? You're really close to mine!

    BARF!!!!!  So I just looked up images of the MP and like passing a car wreck I couldn't look away.  They are pretty gross looking.  There's even a you tube video of a huge one that they're stretching all around.  My stomach turned.

    Thanks!  July 26 but I went early with DS and my OB doesn't think I'll make it to my EDD.  But, since that's out in the universe, this little lady will probably make me hold out until the bitter (and unbearbly hot) end!

    And, ewwww to the stretching!  WHY would somebody do that?  And then film it and post it to the internet?  Ick!

    No idea, but it was with tweezers like at a lab or something (or that's what they want you to think).
