I find that getting things at the dollar store that do the same thing as those people pay 15x more for makes you a more intelligent person!

They worked for both BFN's and BFP's for me, even got darker as the days progressed, just like the fancy ones!

lol yes I figured as much. I'm having a wonky cycle so I don't want to waste my $$ on them if I can get them cheaper. I wasn't sure if people found them reliable or not.

Why would there be something wrong with them just because they're at the dollar store? I get tons of stuff from the dollar store that works just fine.

When you buy a brand name pregnancy test, you are paying for just that. The 8 or 9 bucks in difference is going to more attractive packaging (people just can't resist that naked baby on the box) and to support the major brand that produced it. The value of the actual test part of it is, well...a dollar.

like I said in a pp, I had heard (from a lady that I work with whos sister re-packages them and merchandises them for a dollartstore chain in Canada) that they are expired test and that typically 1-5 (or smoething like that) are accurate.

I just wanted to know who has had successes from here and if there is any feedback to consider. It's getting pretty pricey to keep getting Clear Blue's and First Responses. I'm definitely new at the POAS game, so I wanted some feedback

Most people here buy either at the $ store or on line. Both work just as well. GL.

they're actually not the same type of test you buy in the regular store. They have less bulk and are just as reliable. The only difference is you have to pee in a cup for most of them. Really, just lurk a bit. A similar question to this one was just asked earlier today, just without as much attitude.

I have never heard of that in my life. You need to eat a Lurk Sandwich, and maybe wash it down with a Thick Skin shake.

Note to all: I was asking for advice, and to learn from people's experience. I am so sick and tired of posting what I think is a very simple question and getting rude responses. This is supposed to be a supportive community, where women are free to post what questions or concerns are on their mind about TTC. Well...this was on my mind last night - and possibly has been on the minds of other women, or even your own mind at one point or another.

(I admit that there was some attitude in my original post, and I apologize for that. I didn't mean that I personally think that those tests are no-good, I was just wondering what results others had gotten. Our big chain dollar store in Canada is known for having unreliable products - so I was wondering what results others had gotten)

I very much appreciate the positive feedback - but would ask that if you feel the need to mock others when they are looking for advice or support, you take a moment to consider that perhaps that woman is having a hard time and possibly doesn't need the negativity that your comments may bring.
