DD wakes 1-2x a night but always goes back down with the paci. I think leaving some in the crib could be the answer! How many do you put in there? Is their room pitch dark and they can find their own paci in the dark or is there a nightlight or what?
Re: If you leave paci's in the crib at night
We have a night light in their room. Sometimes I have to go in and give them one, but I guess other times they find it on their own.
Can't hurt to try.

We just transitioned DD to her crib last week. She's been doing wonderfully, but she still wakes up at least once a night frantic b/c she doesn't have her paci. Someone else said she sprinkles lots of pacis in the crib at night, so I think I'll do the same. I normally just put her to bed with one.
She has a lamp on all night, so she can see when she wakes up.

I usually leave 3. Sometimes 4. She can find it on her own and re-insert. She has a nightlight so that helps. I also have two glow in the dark pacis- the handle glows in the dark so if they sleep better in pitch darkness that would work.
She STTN consistently now. Sometimes I hear her wake up and whine a little but I don't go in and she goes back to sleep. She probably looks for a paci and her lovey and just rolls to a more comfy position.
ETA: I leave that many cause she has a habit of throwing or dropping one out of the crib before she settles down. I put her down drowsy but awake and sometimes she stands up and hangs out for a bit before going to sleep. When she does that usually at least one paci ends up on the floor. I go in and pick it up before I go to bed and wash it off and place it back in the crib.
We've tried putting 4 or 5 in there, but I don't think it works very well. They usually end up wedged underneath the bumper, or if I take that off they fall through to the floor (making a loud crashing noise that wakes her up).
I've heard of people sewing a bunch of them onto a blanket, but haven't tried that yet.
I leave two plus her lovey. If she can't feel the paci, she'll chew/suck on her blankie instead. Oh, and this morning I found her sucking on her toes while wearing a footed sleeper.
I've watched DD on the video monitor reaching for the pacis. She sometimes feels one that fell out of her mouth b/c it's near her head. I always leave the extra paci to the side below her crib soother. She usually reaches for that spot first. I think they learn where to find them pretty quickly.
