what does this mean (used CD lingo)

OBV is no longer silky but not sherpa either.

looking at a listing for a GM (i know...do i really want to start that obsession?) i know what OBV is but what's with the silky/sherpa lingo? i'm guessing silky is better than sherpa. ?buy why would sherpa be bad? isn't it soft too?

Re: what does this mean (used CD lingo)

  • OBV starts out really silky and over time becomes more sherpa like.  So I think people just use it to let you know that it hasn't been washed/used that much.

  • it just means it is not silky soft, but  instead looks more like a wooly sheep inside. not as soft, but i think it is fine and DS doesn't care! i bought some sherpa-y used GM and i like them just fine! i think it is  mostly one of those things that just says "this is a well used diaper" but doesn't REALLY matter!
