XP:Maclaren Triumph Owners

I am looking at getting a Maclaren Triumph and ditching my Graco Metrolite travel system. I will be using it for walks, the mall, and the zoo etc.

Do you think the Triumph is big and/or convenient enough to be your only stroller? Do you still use the big one, if you have one, for certain trips?

TIA

  • We bought it a few weeks ago and love it! We had the chicco travel system, and that stroller was a beast. DD loves it as well. We put our chicco is storage, and haven't missed it at all.?

  • I have three strollers.  A jogging stroller for walks/jogs around the neighborhood.  A snap n go for when he was small enough to lift his carrier.  And a Triumph.  We use the Triumph for everything now except the running and I really like it.  I do not, however, live in a big city where you walk everywhere or go on day long trips where DS would have to sleep an extended time in the stroller.  I think in those situations a bigger deluxe stroller might be more appropriate.
  • Yes, it's perfect! Esp. from your DD's age onwards it's much easier than using the larger stroller. We bought a triumph for ds when he was about 13 mos old & I used it all the time up until our 2nd was born (now they're both in the double). I only used the larger stroller for long walks b/c ours has the big tires that make it more comfortable for bumpy ground. The triumph is perfect for everyday errands & day trips. You can get extra accessories (cup holder & extra pockets that attach near the handles). HTH

  • It's the only stroller we have, and I've never felt it isn't big enough for our needs. Some people complain about the basket size, but it's fine for our daily needs. We have this for when we need more storage.
  • I rarely use mine. It's not good for us I think b/c we live in the city. We are always out and need a stroller with a lot of storage. With the Maclaren not only does it not have much storage, if your LO gets out and you have anything on or in the stroller, it will tip over.
