TGIF: Why are you smiling?

Well friends, we survived another week! Congratulations! So let's take a moment to reflect, brag, AW, laugh, share, and SMILE...

Why are you smiling? Smile

Re: TGIF: Why are you smiling?

  • I've already mentioned some of this but:

We took Marino to the beach twice last week...when he was in the NICU I used to daydream about the next summer when we could take him to the beach, so it was just nice to come full circle.

Marino started waving and saying "bye bye" this week

He also started immitating animal sounds

and he plays "chase" with Evan and I now...it's so fun!!

  • Every day I go with out pre-e symptoms, I am one day closer to bring full term. And we transitioned ds to his toddler bed last week and it is going great!
  • Ruby started saying Hello (kind of). We got her a baby cell phone last week, and now she things everything is a phone! She walks around with various items held up to her cheek saying Lelo Lelo! My favorite is when it's an oversized stuffed animal! Lelo Lelo!

  • I'm excited for Father's Day. Tarynn and I made everyone a special present. I will PIP later.
  • DD was moved out of her isolette last night and into an open air crib! When I called just a bit ago the nurse said she was doing great maintaining her temp. YAY for milestones and being one step closer to bringing her home! :)
  • I'm sitting here listening to Robbie bang on his piano and "sing".

He started using a sippy cup a couple of days ago and today he started leaning forward to take sips. (water only, of course, but whatever.)

This weekend is father's day and we won't spend it in the NICU!

  • I am excited bc DH is taking time off of work (the first time in a year!!!) and we are going to visit his bro, sil, and nieces and nephews.  Then we are going to Chicago to take Ryan to Shedd Aquarium bc he LOVES fishies.  It should be a ton of fun and we leave tomorrow.

That is so awesome! This was my favorite milestone I think. Sounds like you're getting close!

  • BR:  I'm smiling because DD will be meeting her 95 y.o. Great Grandmother and one of her Great Aunts in less than 48 hours!  We've been showing her their pictures on the computer screen to get her used to their faces and now she BEGS to get up on the computer desk and sit in front of the screen and see them and point to them.

NBR:  I'm smiling because I actually lost some weight this week.  Woo hoo ... so what if it is probably just water weight ... it is a start!

  • i'm smiling because when DH was playing guitar hero last night, Ryan was screaming his head off along with the music. probably a complete coincidence, but it was hilarious nonetheless!

and because DH and i have our first dinner/movie night since Ryan was born tomorrow night!

  • I'm smiling because DH & I have a 4-day weekend and I dropped down to 2 pumps a day.
  • We went berry picking today and had so much fun!

    I'm smiling, but crying too......

Keira had her sleep study last night. ?The Dr called today with preliminary results and said her lowest desat was 93 and her mean was 98. ?The rest of the study won't be analyzed until next week, but as long as the rest is as good as we all anticipate.......

KEIRA WILL BE OFF ALL MONITORS AND OXYGEN!!! ?AND POSSIBLY AS EARLY AS NEXT WEEK!!

I can't stop crying. ?Could this mean it's all over? ?That I can shut the door to the premature baby past? ??

  • I am smiling because Ruby got this card to give to her daddy for Father's Day:

  • We took Dash off his phenobarb and he's doing great ... he seems to be trying to roll over and he's very strong when he "stands" ... all things we thought he'd maybe never be able to do.

Grayson started saying MAMA for the first time in this past week and it is the simplest, most joyful music to my ears I've ever heard.

If I was you, I would be smiling about wearing a 2 piece bathing suit this week! Yeah, I'm still jealous!!

  • My mom is spending the weekend at our place since DH works to help us both get a little more sleep!! Sounds kind of silly when I type it but I am so pumped to maybe get more than a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep!
