can teething cause the gums to bleed?

my little guy has his bottom front teeth and his top front teeth are both on their way in.  last night, he started spitting a little bit of blood out his mouth.  I took a look and it was coming from the gum where his top teeth are coming in.  is this normal?

  • Although that hasn't happened to my daughter, it definitely seems normal as long as it's not a ton of blood.  GL to your little guy!

  • Every morning when I go to get Madi up there is a tiny bit of blood where her teeth are breaking through the gumline. It breaks my heart because I know how badly it must be hurting her. From what our public health nurse told me though its perfectly normal to have a little bleeding when they are coming in and that Molars are the worst
