Q about how long did you wait?

in TTC After a Loss

Hi. I just got back from my follow up apt from my d&c and the dr. said that I could have sex again, (it's been 2 weeks since d&c) without any form of birth control if I wanted.

My question is:

did any of you "try" or just not careful before you got your first AF from mc?

    following m/c #1 we didn't actively try, but did nothing to stop it.

    following m/c #2 we tried as soon as md said it was ok. . .(and are still trying . . .)

    m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks). and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers). IUI#1 and #2: BFNs Super lucky to be buddies with Peetie. Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011

    I did not necessairly "try" because I didn't know when exactly I would be O'ing. However, we did not abstain or avoid either. I told the Dr. straight up I would not be using any form of BC, including condoms, and he told me that was fine as long as I was ready emotionally.

    Thanks.. aftermc #1 did you get k/u or get AF first?

    We waited for AF, still had sex but used condoms.  As soon as that cycle passed we started trying and are still....

    Everyone's dr, m/c, etc. is different so you're probably going to get a ton of different answers.  Because of the type of m/c I had, we were told to wait 9-12 months before getting pregnant again.

    Do what you feel is best and listen to your dr.

    I had a natural m/c and was told to wait 2 cycles. We waited 1 (using protection) and then started trying again. GL!

    My doctor told me to wait one full cycle, but I was 21 weeks along so your situation may be different.

    my doctor said she recommended that we wait one cycle, just to get a fresh start but she did tell me that if i did get pg before getting af it would be fine so not to worry about it.

    we waited one cycle because i was afraid i'd get pg and if something happened i'd be mad at myself for not waiting.

    ever doctor is different with what they say and every couple is different about what they decide...i'd be nice to have a crystal ball to look into, wouldn't it?  good luck to you!!!
