Clomid question from TTCAL

in Pregnant after a Loss

Hi ladies!  There are a couple of us on TTCAL that are taking Clomid and want to know if any of you had success with it?  Some of us are on month one... others month 3 or higher.  If you got KU while on Clomid, how many months did it take you?  Any advice?

    Hi Kelin!

    Well I got KU on it the first month - on 100mg with a trigger shot and timed intercourse...We BD about 3 hours after the trigger then again about 48 hours after the trigger - I did take Mucinex days 10-15 and I also ate pineapple core 7dpo-10dpo....

    Hi there,

    Clomid didn't work for me.  It thinned my linning out too much and screwed up my hormones.  The injectiables worked wonders for me.  It had none of the side effects that the clomid did and i felt somuch better on it.  If your insurance will cover injectiables i would stongly suggest it.  Let me know if you have any other questions.    

    10/17/2009 - Our Miracle came 10 weeks early. IF,2 MC and 1 Preemie we have our miracle.. Baby Hope 10 weeks 5days was taken from us on Dec 18, 2007. Forever with us and Forever missed. Triplets Lost baby A @ weeks, Lost Baby B at 6 weeks and lost baby Abigail at 14 weeks when she was born to little for this life..... Forever with us ....

    Clomid worked my very first cycle.  I was so happy. Unfortunately, that pregnancy ended in m/c.  We were supposed to take 1 month off.  I had purchased the Clomid and we were all ready to go...just waiting on my AF.  She never showed.  I ended up conceiving without any meds unexpectedly.  My doctor said that just because I have PCOS doesn't mean that I never ovulate, only that my ovulation is not predictable.  So whatever....good luck and I hope to see you on this board soon!!

    We got pregnant our first cycle on 50mg of clomid.  I'm not sure clomid worked or not though.  I normally O between CD20-28 and the doctor prescribed clomid to give me a stronger and earlier O.  I still O'd on CD22 with clomid but did get pregnant so who knows.
    After 2 m/cs, dx October 2008 with hetero factor v leiden & mthfr & low progesterone; third time was the charm - BFP 3/19/09 on first cycle of clomid. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    I origianlly got BFP from first round of Clomid (50mg) but later m/c.  After about 8 rounds later, and along with help from trigger shot, I got this BFP on 150 mg.  Good luck to all of you!!!

    I got my BFP the first round.  I did clomid with an ovidrel trigger and an IUI. I have PCOS so I was also on metformin. We are now cautiously expecting fraternal twins.  

    TTC Since March 2007 with PCOS & chromosomal translocation: M/C #1 January 22, 2008 at 4.5 weeks; M/C #2 Missed M/C - Natural M/C May 31, 2008 at 13 weeks; 5/2/09 - IUI - (Clomid with trigger injection also on Metformin and Progesterone) - BFP - 5/12/09 - Twins - lost Baby B at 9 weeks; 7/20/09 - Amnio; 1/10/10 - Gwendolyn Clarice born at 38 weeks 1 day - 5lbs 14oz and 19 inches long Lilypie Second Birthday tickers Daisypath Anniversary tickers

    I got lucky on cycle #2 of 100mg.  I do ovulate on my own, but my Dr. used it to make my ovulation stronger.  It was the third cycle after my D&C.

    We got pg our first cycle on Clomid, but mc'd shortly after. Then we were able to conceive on our 2nd cycle back on clomid after that mc. I was only on 50mg, but still experienced hyperstimulation, so I do urge everyone who takes this med to be monitored by u/s. We also used pre-seed the two times that we conceived with clomid... coincidence perhaps, but who knows!
