He has gained a little and is trying to lose it but can't. It's actually really common, the doctor asks HIM what symptoms he's having at each visit as a joke, it's funny. I guess some husbands get a lot more symptoms than just weight gain.
Yup about 20 lbs. I keep telling him not to worry about it because after the peanut arrives we will both get back on track. I'm in my sisters wedding in the middle of September and I don't want to look like a beached whale.
Actually, no DH hasn't really gained any weight. For quite some time he was losing weight... we even had to go out and buy new pants because his were too loose around his weight. UGH! :P
We were both overweight to begin with. I'd say he has gained maybe 5 lbs, but it was enough to put him up one size in his fave shorts.
I took him on a mini-shopping spree Sat to help him out. We found some great deals at Hudson Belk for those of you in the southeast. 3 dress shirts, 2 ties, a polo shirt, and 2 pairs of shorts for $165. I actually got him in a lavender shirt with a dark purple tie...I highly recommend it if your DH has a Meditteranean complexion and dark hair!
Um, yeah. The Bump be too crazy for pics of my kid.
Yep! The last time he weighed himself (about 3w ago) he was up 18lbs. It sounds like a lot, but he kinda needed to gain some weight. He lost 40lbs recently (from stress and not eating) and he got down too low!
He has actually put on 5 lbs of muscle since I've been pg... which is ok by me. He feels like since he is becoming a dad he wants to work harder to not have the "dad body"... whatever that means. He's still got a hot bod

Same here. Plus, DH has lost 5 lbs since October since he's been in Invisalign to 1) re-do the braces he had as a kid/teen that got messed up due to a crappy ortho and his wisdom teeth and 2) prevent a nasty jaw surgery down the line for TMJ. Severely impacted his snacking prowess.?
Yup, about 10 lbs, he looks the same to me, but he has definitely noticed and it's bothering him. I just tell him to relax, we'll both lose it after the baby.

My DH had a very stressful year last year that caused him to gain weight. In January he vowed to lose the extra and he has (plus some). Plus, my eating habits haven't really changed with pregnancy so I doubt he would have gained anything anyway.
Alot of my friends husbands did but my husband suddenly started being more mindful of what he eats and is losing. I think I would prefer him put on a few so I don't feel extra big. LOL

for sure! I have a feeling it's going to get worse while we're home with the baby. I've already warned him that with so much, or little food, in the house we're both gonna be in for it! Gotta avoid those late night snacks too.
Absolutely, in fact, he is up 17 lbs, just one lb behind me. He monitors his weight gain each time we go to the dr. After I get on the scale he hops on too to see what his "progress" is! He tends to gain weight easily so he is worried about losing it. He said that I will probably be back to pre-pg weight in a few months and he will still have his sympathy weight to deal with!

DH is losing weight! It's like what I'm gaining, he's dropping. Everyone keeps telling him he looks good. I jokingly say it's because he's standing next to me.
No, damn him! He's tall and slim and actually LOST 5 lbs since I got pregnant. I currently weigh about 6 lbs less than him and will outweigh the jerk by the end. Dammit!
I liked weighing 40 lbs less than him and WILL get back there.
oh yes he has, but he wont admit to it!!! Hopefully when i get on my Post Baby Diet, he will join!

oh yes he has! I think it was more due to the fact that I would nibble at my plate and then go puke...and he wouldn't want to waste, so he would end up eating the rest of my dinner. so, I was losing and he was gaining... silly DH.
He hasn't gained a pound! But he is so sweet about saying how I look and things like that...that who cares if I outweigh him by a considerable margin right now.
Mine has gained 12 lbs so far and I'm confident he'll make it to the 14 lb average by the time it's all over. I'm actually quite happy about it because he's 6'0 and usually 160 lbs (or under), so I prefer him filled out a little...but he'd obviously prefer to know that his 12 lbs weight gain is muscle and not just baby weight. He is shocked that his 31 pants don't fit him as well, and has had to stick to the 32s. But he looks good to me!
Mine has gained about 10 or 12 lbs. I feel bad for him because everytime I get a craving and then cant finish ( I have huge eyes and thankfully a big but not huge stomach) he ends up finishing it for me. This wouldn't be an issue except he's got a PFT (physical fitness test) coming up next week and has to get weighed in. He's been trying to put on muscle so he was already a little heavier than he was supposed to be. Hes going to be screwed next week!

He hasn't gained... but he's been trying to lose and his weight won't budge.

Nope. He's actually lost weight...the bastard! lol
He's always going to the gym and training for his TKD so if he gained weight I'd be highly surprised.

No, if anything he has lost a couple of pounds. Since my BFP, he has cut out most alcohol and stepped up his workout routine.
Maybe he is prepping to be my personal trainer after delivery.
