When are you packing hospital bag and installing carseat??

I am going to be 35 weeks on Friday...I am just wondering when everyone else started packing their hospital bag and installing their carseats?

We did the car seat at 34 weeks and the hospital bags at 35/36 weeks. I actually still have a couple things to add to the hospital bags. My Lamaze instructor used 35 weeks as the rule of thumb to have bags packed.

I'm going to try to get to my hospital bag this week.. The car seat won't be installed probably until next week. I want to clean the cars first.

DH installed the car seat on the weekend because he's away for a few days this week and I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow.

I started packing my hospital bag last night. I still have a few things to add to it though.

I started gathering hospital bag stuff around 35-36w, and we installed the car seats at about 36w also. GL!

I packed my bag at 37 weeks. Well, mostly. I put a few outfits in there that I know I want to take, and then put a list on top of the rest of the things I need to throw together if I go into labor. I am scheduled for a c-sec at 39 weeks but was having lots of contractions so I did it at 37 weeks just in case.

The car seat - we'll either put it in right before we go to the hospital next Monday, or DH will put it in at some point when he comes home while I am in the hospital. He will stay there with me the whole time, but I know he will run home at least once or twice.

I'm doing both today or at least the hospital bag part. DH can install the car seat. He is picking my car up from being detailed and it now will be all ready for baby.

I am hoping that if I pack my bag and install the carseat this weekend...that she will hold off and decide to NOT come out for another few weeks...It probably sounds crazy to some but I want her to stay in as LONG as possible haha. (Husband is deployed..not due to come back until 11 days after my due date

So maybe if I pack it all and install this weekend she will think "I'll show her when I'm ready..." and not come for another few weeks haha.

My bag is 95% packed, just needs last minute toilitries and camera equip. We installed the cs base about 2 weeks ago and put in the seat the other night.

We packed the hospital bag and installed the carseats at 34 weeks. We only did it so early because I was put on bedrest at 33 weeks and we didn't want to risk going into early labor and not having anything done.

I have been itching to pack the baby's diaper bag for some reason. It's totally irrational, but I just feel the need to do it. We will install our carseat before we go on vacation in mid-July. I will be 35 weeks, and I do not want to get stuck in a Carteret County, NC hospital waiting for someone to drive 3 hours home and 3 hours back to get the carseat! I will probably pack my hospital bag before vacation, too. Just to be absolutely sure if the baby comes early we have everything we need. If I weren't going on a trip, I would probably pack it when labor starts LOL. I'm pretty certain I'll have a few hours...

We will install the carseat at 34 weeks, because that was when we were able to get an appt to get it checked out. I have started throwing together coming home outfit and mittens for the baby's bag, but nothing yet for my/DH's bag. We'll probably do this around 36 weeks.

I'd like to be done with both at 37 weeks. The cars need to be cleaned out before the car seats can go in. I'll start tossing stuff in the hospital bag soon. I already have the list, it's just assembling everything.

We installed the carseat last week, but I still haven't started packing a bag for me. I have a little bag with clothes for her, and the boppy at her bedroom door but nothing for me yet.

We are cleaning our cars and installing bases tomorrow. I will hopefully pack my bag either tomorrow night or Thursday night. I do have a list though, so if something happened, I would be able to get everything together rather quickly.

I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow, and I haven't done either one.

In theory, I'd like to start packing the hospital bag this weekend, but we'll see if that happens.

I really need to get on this carseat thing. We keep putting off buying it because we don't want to deal with storing it, but we need to check and see when we can get it inspected to make sure we don't miss it!

Done and done! I cut it a little close with the hospital bag for me since I JUST packed that, but I have had the car seat and baby bag packed for several weeks now.

i'm getting my car seat installed on thursday (i'll be 32 weeks, 6 days), and i think i'll probably do the hospital bag around 35 weeks.

I was planning on doing both around 35 weeks, but I'll be installing the carseat this week instead. I wanted to make sure I got it installed correctly and my brother is available this week to do it for me. Since he works at the fire department and hospital and has two kids, he knows how to do it right. We'll still have to get the second base installed in DH's car, but at least one will be done.

I had my first at 35w and was not prepared, so in theory I should be getting all of this done. However, I really didn't need that much with my first and just threw things in after my water broke. This time I would at least like to have the bag packed. Since I was in the hospital for 2 days, my DH installed the car seat and got everything ready for our son to come home. Hopefully, we can plan a little more with this one, but everything worked out just fine. At least in GA we had to bring the carseat upstairs and do some test ( DH watched the test not me, so I have no idea) at the hospital. I;m not sure if that's GA only, but with the travel system isn't wasn't a big deal.

I started packing my bag last night. The diaper bag has been packed for a week or so. Tonight we are cleaning the car and installing the car seat base.
