Possibly a stupid question? b/c vs ovulation?

okay... so stupid question... as i said in my post yesterday, i think we might be missing out this month since i'm going to NY during the first part of our FWP week... if i hold out removing my b/c (nuvaring) for a couple days, hence holding off AF a couple days... would this also in turn post-pone ovulation? any thoughts? I know it's a long shot, but i'm like, hmmm if i can hold it off a couple days then maybe we won't miss out this month...

also, how long is the egg viable for the sperm after you ovulate? i know i could look this up, but i am headed out the door and thought some of you might know :) THANKS! :)

    I don't think there's any way to tell what your body is going to do when you come off of hormonal birth control. How long have you been on the Nuvaring this time around?

    There's no way of knowing for sure when or if you will ovulation after coming off BC.  I don't think I ovulated the first month off BC.  Your body may need some time to regulate itself.  Also, there's no guarantee your body will go back to the same cycle as before. 

    The egg is good for approximately 24 hrs after ovulation.  However, it's best to already have the sperm in the tubes waiting for the egg, so you should FWP a few days before ovulation.

    2 cycles. I've been on and off it for about 3 years with continuous 28 day cycles. Blessed with continuous 28 days give or take 1 day when off bc. I'm just hoping I ovulate just as regularly. We shall see!
