The boobs are dry

I mentioned this in a previous post, but DS is nursing on both sides now (and eating like it's his job), so I haven't pumped anything significant going on two weeks. Ah!

My stash is dwindling and I'm not certain, though I was relatively so before, that DH and I will never leave the house again.

At least I won't, what with being the only one lactating and all.

I've been drinking water, mother's milk tea, trying to rest, nice hot showers running on the milk makers. Any magic bullet out there?

  • Have you tried Fengreek or Blessed Thistle?  Also, try pumping a little bit after he eats to boost your supply.

  • Maybe get a script for Reglan?  I was wondering how things were going for you.

  • Lactation cookies are yummy!  Get as much protein, oatmeal, and water as possible.  Also, are you getting enough rest?  My supply dips when I'm overtired.
  • Ah! Left out the lactation cookies. DH has been making them for me (such a gem!).

I was wondering what Reglan was for. I've seen questions about it posted here before.

I'll see about the fenugreek and blessed thistle. And I'm hoping the pumping, will help boost things along.

    Thanks ladies!

I had to go on Reglan because I tried everything but despite that nothing helped. Within 24hs of being on Reglan my milk bounced back. Ask your OB about it. There are side effects but I havent had any besides being drowsy the 1st day. GL

no suggestions, but the same thing is happening to me. I have a bottle in the fridge for tonight (i pumped 3 times yesterday to get it) and 3 in the freezer...and that's it Crying
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind." - Kurt Vonnegut
  • You should try More Milk Plus, I got the the pills (they come in drops or teas too) I saw an increase within 24 hours, highly recommend it
