what brand of bottles are you using?

I'm planning to breastfeed, but i want to add some bottles & nipples to my registry for my husband to feed the baby pumped milk and for when i go back to work. ?Just wondering what brands others like or have researched and are planning on using?

I would add a 1 pack of several types of bottles to your registry rather than trying to stock up on a specific brand. All babies like different things and you won't know until you try what your baby likes. The most important thing is BPA free - lots of people prefer glass but there are plastic alternatives as well. In a perfect world you'd want something simple, without a ton of parts and cheap. That being said Born Free work best for us and they are pricey and full of parts, but that's what DS likes so we go with it!

we use playtex drop-ins. ds liked the nipples and i liked not having to wash bottles.

but- they aren't EF because of the plastic drop-ins and they aren't economical because a box of 100 drop-ins is about $8. i wish i could get all the money we spent on drop-ins back!

We tried a bunch and the ones tha DS liked the best were the cheap evenflo BPA free or glass bottles. I think they are $5-7 for 3 bottles and the fit on my pump which was nice because I didn't have to transfer the milk as much since I could feed him right from them.

We used Dr. Brown's BPA-free ones when I was finishing school and Seth took bottles... that was months and months ago, though, and if Seth were being born now I would get glass bottles instead (I know Dr. Brown's makes them, but the Evenflo would be more cost effective). Cleaner, nicer, less risky because no plastic. Of course they can break, but you're not supposed to leave a baby by himself with a bottle anyway.

We use Dr. Brown's. It was the first we tried and he took right to them. If you are going to be using day care check with them before you get glass, ours doesn't allow it at all.

The couple times we used one we used the Adiri Natural Nurser. It's the closest to breast/nipple shape. DS wants nothing to do with bottles generally. He'd take that one the easiest of the few that we had.

We used Dr. Brown's with both babies. If I were to have another child, I'd use the Dr. Brown's glass.

We received Avent as a shower gift and use those almost exlusively. I got a few of the cheapo Gerber BPA free bottles because the nipples will work on my milk storage containers, but she doesn't like them as much.

Dr. Brown's Glass and BPA free plastic. Only a few of the plastics for travel etc.
