Not sure if this is worth a post, but did anyone see the new animated movie "Up" yet? It is supposed to be a kids movie, but DH and I saw a late showing last night for fun. I don't think that this is really a spoiler (so don't get mad) but they actually broach the subject of miscarriage during the introduction. Granted, this is not the basis of the movie, but I thought that was pretty interesting. It is something that almost seems taboo in this culture, but Disney actually put in the first 5 minutes of a movie. Who would have thought?
Now if Disney can do it, why can't TheBump cover the subject? (In response to someflower's post)
Also a warning, this movie will make you cry (given the subject matter in the first 5 minutes) so I almost had to leave the theatre and go to the bathroom for a few minutes. I was a wreck.
Re: NBR: Movie "Up"
i really wanted to watch that movie, but someone posted a few weeks ago about the whole m/c thing, so i have stayed away. but i do agree, in a way it's almost admirable of disney to bring such a subject matter to light. maybe i'll see it... some day...
I agree I like how they are bringing the subject out in the open.
I haven't seen it yet, going to give it a few more months until the m/c isn't so fresh in my mind.
