80 effaced 2.5 dilated, 32 weeks?

I am 32 weeks tuesday and on bed rest for early labor a week ago I was 1-2 cm 0% effaced, then wednesday I was 2 cm and he just said slightly effeced, I came back to the hospital last night when my contractions went back to every 6 minutes I am now 2.5cm and 80% effaced (or so I was last night), so I was given an IV and some terb shots and more procardia. It is only sort of working, works for about an hour then they start coming back and by the time I am ready for another dose I am back to 6 minutes.

anyway I have read you can go into labor any day or hold off another month, would the quick change since wednesday point more towards a few days?

    I don't know, but I hope they figure out something to keep him in there a bit longer.

    idk either, but take every safe drug possible to keep him in there!!! GL to you!

    Hopefully they find a way to keep your LO in there a bit longer. I would say, though, the quick progress means it's coming soon. You are, dialating and effacement wise, where I was at last week at my 39 wk appointment.

    It doesn't mean you are going to go any day now.  I went very quickly from 31w-32w to 70% effaced and 2.5 cm dialated.  After a few days in the hospital with some turb, IVs, and some medicine to take home, I am now at 34w (still on bed rest) and haven't (as of last Wed) progressed anymore.  I have felt contractions on and off but nothing timeable.  If it makes you feel better, I had a friend we went in with PTL at 28w.  She was induced on Tuesday @ 41w.  You can still make it full term!  Try to stay positive!  GL!!

    My contractions are still timeable (6-10 minutes apart depending on how long ago I had my meds) but I did not progress since last night. I am back home on the max dose of both meds.
