Anyone still have cramps @ 4 weeks

I am 4 weeks post d&e and still have cramps...pretty significantly.  I am still taking pain meds.  Finally got something that really worked and was feeling better, so Wed I thought, ok I must be better now, I will stop taking it.  Nope still cramps and pinching.

My doctor told me that this really is not normal, but not absolutely unheard of.  I was just wondering if any of you out there in the same place..

    It has been 2 weeks since my D&E and thought I do not get cramp often...when I get them, they are sooo strong that they take my breathe away, and I can't move for a few mins.....it's kinda like a mix between rough sex pain and really hard O pain.......Sad sorry you are still going through it.....Hope it gets better.

    Unfortunately it can happen.  I had a lot of pain after my miscarriages for weeks to months.  As long as you talk with your doctor about it and they are ok with it....I would just try to get through it and not "worry" too much.  It WILL end eventually.  I have also learned that there really is no "normal" when it comes to these things.  GL.

    oooh, i'm sorry you have to deal with this for four weeks...has your dr done an ultrasound to check for tissue or clots?

    Yes, I have had since m/c.  There is something there...a blood clot they think.  It is just crazy b/c it was a pretty intense d&e with u/s used during the surgery and there was nothing there at the time.  It's always something with me!!!

    when i had some left over tissue, my doc hooked me up with that medicine that makes your uterus contract. at first it really didn't seem to help, but i did start passing tissue on the 4th day. i don't know if that was natural or due to the drugs, but at least taking something made me feel like i was "doing" something.

    stupid clot. Angry
