I normally don't worry about the milestones too much. DS trys to roll over some, but doesn't really give it a ton of effort. He also doesn't really like to sit up supported. He will for about 5-10 minutes, then he fusses. Any one else?
Just this week DS started consistently rolling from belly to back. I still haven't seen him do back to belly yet. Don't stress about it... it's amazing how quickly that stuff will just click all of the sudden and he'll be reaching those milestones.

My older daughter, who is totally developmentally normal, never rolled over for rolling's sake. She never even bothered to try and I remember being so worried! In retrospect, I didn't need to be. She actually CRAWLED (when placed on her belly) before she rolled. The first time she rolled, she also sat up! I remember so clearly, she was about 8 months old. I put her down on her belly and she flipped over and sat right up. Kids do things in their own time and their own way. As long as you don't notice any other delays and your doctor isn't concerned, I'm sure he's OK.
(Oh - my dd sat steadily when placed in a sitting position around 6.5 months. I think that's normal.)

Reading these responses makes me feel so much better. My child will roll to his side and just back to where he was. I asked pedi the other day and told me not to worry but these stories give me hope!
