Babies on the Brain

I need help, any takers?

I have already posted this in my blog, cause I have my fair share of blonde moments, no offence, and for some readon didnt think to post it for everyone to read... so here ya go.. my blog now turn post for everyone. and like I said, someone please help me.. I really honestly have no one else to talk to. beside my hunny!

OK... So me and my hunny have been together for a while now, and we are thinkin about havin a baby, the topic has come up a time or two... well more like every week we disscus it, and we really arent getting anywhere at the moment. I want a baby.. he wants a baby... but Im not so sure that we are ready for a baby. Im scared that maybe me and him wont work out..(we arent married) and I know what its like to not have your parents together, and I personally hated it! Im also scared that when the baby comes, well I dont know what all Im scared of, Im truely scared of everything about it. I know in my heart that Im ready for one, but then I question myself, and if Im really ready, or if I only want a baby to have a baby.. I dont know if that makes any sence.. but it does in my head! So just bare with me!

Most people say that people my age dont need to have a baby, since to them we are still babies.. Im 18 by the way.. 19 in a few short months... like that really matters though. And then theres the whole sibling thing.. I dont know about you but Im from a huge family.. well atleast its huge to me. I have 3 sisters, Emily, who is 34 at the moment, and 16 years older than me, Becky, who is 33 at the moment, and 15 years older than me, and Renee, who is 29 at the moment, and 11 years older than me. My two brothers are Randy, who is 28 at the moment, and 10 years older than me, and Adam, who is 17 at the moment, and 1 year younger than me. Anyways, my point is that is all of them I am the baby.. except Adam, and well he acts like hes my big brother half the time, and my sisters and brothers still see me as their little sister running around in diapers and them stealing my baby food, and all of that good stuff because all of them, except Adam again can remember when I was born. I have talked with them about having a baby, but they dont see me as an adult who is making her own life decisions! So Im still confused on if I should wait one more year, get everything with my hunny down pat, and know exactly where we stand together on this, and what I should do about my siblings.. I love them sooo much, but its my life, and Im scared that if they what it their way Ill be pushing 35 or 40 before I have a baby, which there is nothing wrong with.. its just not for me!

So can anyone help me? I know most of you dont know me from Eve, but someone to talk to would really be great.. and I pretty much just told you half of my life story up there? So any takers??

  • So basically you are telling us you are 18 and ready for a family.

    Hmm

Not sure what direction we are headed. Either way, I am up for the ride.
  • Sorry, I didn't get past hunny. ?Which has the same number of letters as honey.

  • I got 1/4 of the way and all the rest said was blah blah blah I shouldn't have a kid yet.
  • Wait - you're 18?

May I direct your attention to www.babygaga.com

    God speed.

  • you need to invest in some condoms.
  • 1. Grown ups don't use the word "hunny".

    2. You're too young. You will change IMMENSELY in the next 5 years. Go to school, start a career, get married. You're not ready for a kid, I promise.

    3. Saying "if I don't have a kid now I won't till I'm 35 or 40" is ridiculous. That's 15-20 years. You're just being dumb.

Now, go find something else to occupy yourself.

  • You are 18 and you have a boyfriend

You question if you will be together but you have talked about a baby together and yet you STLL question if you are ready.
You are NOT ready at all. To young to have one, you have your whole life ahead of you. Do you have insurance, a home with your boyfriend, do you know the first thing about TTC, temp, testing? I don't think that you are ready.
Coming from me, I was around 18 or so and wanted a baby really bad. But ALL my friends have children and they all say I was so happy to have one, but then you give a lot of your social life away. I think that you should just wait to even think further about a child!

You mean she can't just crawl into the back of her hunny's pick up with a six pack and go to town?

Apparently this method works well. Maybe I need to try this. Ovulation really doesn't matter right?

    Agreed!?

  • You have got to be shiiting me. You are 18 years old, unmarried, and you think it's a fabulous time to TTC? I echo the question of how long is "awhile" in 18-year-old time?

Do you even have a job?

  • Funny how she freaking disappeared. Doesn't want our answers I suppose. Since we didn't tell her to go ahead and have a baby as a teenager. Boy, that was mean of us.

Still confused why she wants to have a baby with the boyfriend that she doesn't even know if they are going to stay together, but yet she lived with parents that were divorced and hated it?! Does that make sense? 35 to 40 years is common more so now than it was. What if you can't get pregnant and try for years and years? Just give up on life because now you are still to "old?"Hmm

    Shame on us!!!
  • At 18 you may think you are ready but I would strongly urge you to reconsider. I know you are probably seeing your siblings have kids and that's probably part of what's driving the urge but there's so many fun things to do before you have children! And I would definitely wait until there's a ring on the finger before doing it (though some people choose not to for perfectly good reasons and that's fine, but make sure he's 110% committed to you and the baby before you have one). Being a single mom is VERY hard and I wouldn't voluntarily go down that road knowing what I know about it.?

For now - go to college, start a career, get married, travel, stay out all night with your friends, etc. There's so much to do! Don't rush to do everything so soon you have plenty of time!?

  • You're a fvcking moron for TTC with a man you aren't sure will stay with you forever. Which means you're acting your age. Grow up, get a degree or two, think about finding a guy to stay with forever, possibly marry him, and then think about children.

I think she's just excited about playing house with her "hunny". It won't be pretty when the real world hits her.

I know I wouldn't want to play house living with my parents still

No, this would be the logical thing to do!Surprise
  • Today on the Maury Show we have teen girls with no clue ready to start a family!

"I'm 18 years old and I don't care what nobody says I'm gonna have a baby!!"

Wait and see if your "hunny" is still sweet in 4 years...some people do mature faster than some but judging by your post (rambles) you are not one of them.

and this! Some of my best and favorite years of my life didn't even start until after I was 18. ?Go have fun, enjoy your early 20's without all the responsibility that will eventually find you later!?

SERIOUSLY, oh my dear lord, you are clearly not even close to being close to ready. I'm not even that concerned that you are so young, I'm concerned that you aren't even sure that you will stay with your potential "baby daddy". Please don't become a tax burden to us! Get a goldfish!?

10 bucks says her "hunny" isn't even around in 2-3 years.

Christonacracker, there's no way I would have considered having kids or marrying the assface I dated at 18 years old.
