  • That is weird but I guess some people experience this.

  • I guess some people would be disappointed about that kind of thing...maybe if you have a bunch of kids and they're all one gender and you were really hoping for the other gender on your last try....  I don't know.  I feel so blessed to have my son, I wouldn't trade him for a daughter any day!

I get experiencing it...saying I really wanted a girl or I really wanted a boy....but to still be disappointed after the child is born - enough to continue to post about it. Really?!?!

  • Indifferent one chick wants to have an abortion cause she can't handle another boy!

  • There must be some kind of emotional thing. I wouldn't trade my DS for a daughter. They may need some therapy!

  • Small disappointment at first is ok but this is taking it too far.  Considering abortion if it is not what you wanted...Tongue Tied
  • OMG there a lady who wants to end her preg because she is having another boy. Surprise
  • Did you read the post, "ending this pregnancy....."

OMG!!!  Um, your parenting skills, or lack-thereof had something to do with your oldest child being arrested etc....oh, nevermind, just blame it on the fact that he's a boy....FFS!

I just read this one. Un-fvcking-real. Wow. I am pr-choice and believe in a womens right to choose, but I am not okay with this reason.

  • getting an abortion is justified b/c you don't want another boy? stfu!

things like that drive me BSC

  • As someone who has two girls I can def understand where they are coming from. I really wanted a boy the second time and was disappointed when we found out she was a girl. Obviously I got over it, but some people don't.

I can't judge them, they probably have a lot more going on than this one "silly" thing... I can't imagine being disappointed in the sex of my baby and then having something like PPD on top of it. And what if these women are totally normal IRL but just go to that board to vent and get support for the feelings they are having?

This link is posted every few months and it's always the same crap "they should be happy they have a baby at all... blah blah blah." Even if you can't put yourself in their situation it doesn't mean you should bash them for sharing their feelings.

  • I was disappointed when we first found out DS was a boy. I really wanted a girl. I got over if pretty quickly though and now that he is here, I can't imagine having a girl. I don't get people being disappointed after they are here.

Eh, still think that having an abortion because you are disappointed in the gender is over the top, IMO.

Clearly she has issues and having a baby that she obviously does not want is not going to make them any better. I'm very pro-choice and to me it has no strings attached to it. She has the legal right to make a choice, no matter what her reason is. And I'd even go even more out there and say that having an abortion might be medically necessary for her mental state. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to have and raise a child that I did not want (for both the mother and child)-- it's hard enough raising the children I adore and can't imagine my life without.

this.  and blaming your children's behavior on their gender is a cop-out to me.

  • i guess i can understand the minor disappointment at first, but after they are born...REALLY? the woman who wants to terminate b/c it's a boy is INSANE!! people like that make me so mad....i know plenty of people who would be ECSTATIC to adopt a healthy baby boy who cannot have one on their own, have lost children and babies. it makes me so sad!!! be happy that you have a healthy child! i know i am, because some people are just not as fortunate...and no one should be taking that for granted...or throwing it away just because they didnt get the gender they wanted....

  • It doesn't make me mad it makes me sad. I feel so sorry for these women who don't know what blessings they have. My heart is so sad for them.

I agree with this, I just said that I was not okay this reason.
