DD's First Day at Daycare

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.  I cried last night when I was explaining to her how she was going to school tomorrow, and then again this morning while we were getting her ready to go and then when we first came back home, but I just kept myself busy.  I did call to check up on her twice, and she seemed to be doing really well.  She ate almost as much as she does at home, slept reasonably well while she was there, and only cried a couple of times. 

Best of all when I came to pick her up she was happy and smiling and playing on her lamby and she saw me and gave me the biggest smile.  My sister told me I just have to have confidence in my choice of daycare, that the people are good and DD will have a good time.  That kind of kept me through the entire day and her smile when I came to pick her up made me very happy with my decision.  Plus there's a flag day parade on friday and since I"m not back at work till Monday I'm going to go!

    I am so happy for the both of you!! My heart was breaking for you telling your daugher about school... Thats so sweet! I seriously shed a few tears over that!! (hormones!) but really, you do have to have confidence in your decision and honestly, I was in daycare until I was 10 and I loved it!! I never questioned who my mommy was and sometimes I didnt want to leave bc I was having too much fun!! Smile

    Thx for this DS starts next Wednesday. We did a visit today and I cried. Luckily my first day back at work my mom will be watching DS. But the next day is daycare I am getting to the point that I just want to get it over with.
