Anyone have to take Provera?

Brief story, I had DD May 08, got first PP period Nov 08, and nothing since then. I just firgured it would take my body a while to adjust, but I completely stopped BF in Jan 09. Went to my dr mid-may, and had to do a blood test to check my thyroid, thyroid function, total blood count, and to do a blood pregnancy test. Everything came back normal, so I took Provera for 5 days, and was supposed to get AF within 2-7 days of last pill. I never got it, and had to wait an extra week past the 7 days. So yesterday, my dr sent me again to take another blood test, this time just to check for pregnancy. I won't get the results until Friday.

My question is, do they perscribe Provera again, or is there something else that they do after? I have only talked to the nurse when I call, so I didn't get any answers, and I hate to wait, because then things keep going through my head.

Re: Anyone have to take Provera?

  • My first suggestion was to take a pregnancy test. But since the dr. already did a blood test on you, the best thing to do is wait. I always got my period soon after Provera and I've never heard it not working. I would imagine they may prescribe Provera gain.
