"You wanted this!" (just venting)

Okay...so, yes, it took me ten years to get pregnant, and yes, I wanted to experience childbirth, etc. etc. ?So this means that I don't have the right to be uncomfortable now and then? ?This means I can't experience the negative parts of pregnancy as well? ?Yes, dammit, I wanted this, and I love being pregnant. ?But give me a break...sometimes it is damn uncomfortable and I deserve to experience the "joys" of uncomfort just as much as the rest of this pregnancy! ?Don't tell me "you wanted this"--give me a damn foot rub! ?OK...done venting...feel better...now for some ice cream.

    Congrats on your pregnancy.  You can definately vent about being uncomfortable.  I hope you get your foot rub.

    I totally understand. Yes, we struggled with IF and this baby is a gift beyond measure, however I DO have a right to admit that I feel like crap. I just have to be careful to whom I complain to. This is something I struggled with most of my pregnancy especially because I remember being very bitter towards pregnant women who complained.

    That's true. ?I was the same way, and so I be sure to only complain to my husband and mom. ?I love my husband to death, and I know he isn't being mean or saying it to be hurtful (I know he is joking)--it just rubbed me the wrong way, you know? ?Ice cream is fab, by the way...lots of chocolate sauce...

    Being uncomfy, tired, moody as well as happy are a given part of motherhood... Vent away! and enjoy that ice cream!
