We Cut DDs Onesie Off!

So dh needs to go back to diaper changing 101! I had dd on her little play mat on the floor and she was yelling (she's been fussy all day). When I checked on her, she and her mat were COVERED in poop! It was all over her feet, legs, hands, cracks of the mat, nothing like finger painting with poop:) I yelled for dh to help me out. Her cute onesie was soooo covered we did not want to pull it over her so out came the scissors:) We left her naked and at her on a pee pad, well my smart dh had her sitting off to the side so she peed everywhere including on toys, it was a mess! Anyway, she had a bath and is now sounds asleep on me. Fun night!

ETA: It was a cute onesie but it was only a $2.50 Walmart shirt, so not a huge loss or anything.

Re: We Cut DDs Onesie Off!

  • Oh man! I haven't had to wield the scissors yet, but I've come close. So funny, I know they say to let your husband get involved but ever since Lilly was born, if there is a poopy diaper I run like the dickens to rescue the offending pooper from him! He's sooooooooooooo not good at changing those diapers. I swear he gets all the poop out of the diaper and somehow it gets all over the changing table. The men def. have that bad diaper changing gene.

  • OH and thank you so much for that sweet compliment about my children you made in one of my pp's. Your little Isabel is such a little sweetie-pie, herself!!! It's amazing, I remember like it was yesterday when you had your belly pics in your siggy. Time has flown!!!
  • Oh man!! Thankfully DS has a small head so I never had to do it... but I was already ready for it! Jenny McCarthy talked about the scissors in Baby Laughs!

  • jsusann- my dh does a great job with the poop when I'm not home but he becomes instantly disabled when I come homeHmm

skimmy- I heard the Jenny Mc book was really funny! I think I may get it. My dd does have a huge head but the poop was alllllllll over the bottom of the onesie so there was no way to get it off w/o our hands getting all in it then getting it all over her head, so grossStick out tongue

I haven't used the scissors yet, but I was definitely tempted one time.  Glad to know I'm not the only one!!  :-)
