diaper rash

My son has developed a serious case of diaper rash. I called the doctor and they called me prescription med to the pharmacy. Here is my question. I had been using neosporin with a good heavy coating of butt paste on top. Now I am wondering if I should use the cream from the doctor and a coat of butt paste or just the cream from the doctor. He has never had diaper rash before and I don't know where this is coming from.

    I'd use the stuff from the Dr (we usually get Nystatin) and maybe some baby powder

    I'd go with just the cream from the doctor. It is probably stronger than what you are using, so there's no point in adding something less strong in there. Hope your little one feels better.
