ok we have chosen Hunter for our little mans name problem is his older brother is Auston and sister is Kaylea both names spelled a little differently I want to stay with this trend I started but I cant think of any ways to spell Hunter any differently, any ideas ladies?
Re: need a different way to spell
Ditto. I don't understand spelling names crazy.
Wow.
Just don't...please, please don't.
Yes don't. It just looks like you don't know how to spell.
But if you must, I like:
Hyyyntyyr
I think it makes it Xtrea spycial and youneek!
Ok, I can figure out that Auston is pronounced like Austin. But Kaylea? Is this supposed to be pronounced like Kayla? I just don't understand why people insist on doing this to their children. Teach your child to be unique and different from the crowd as a PERSON. Don't try to be different by showing the world that you don't know how to spell.
Hunterr and Huntter just look like typos.
Spelling Hunter as Huntor changes the pronounciation. It is no longer the same name.
If you want to name your child Hunter, spell it Hunter.
(I had the same question about Kaylea. If I saw that name on a list, I would assume it was Kay-leah.)
Aww, please don't feel like you can't come here!!
I thought people would know I was being sarcastic because I hate when people misspell names. I'll try to be more obvious next time!
?
Don't worry Courtney. I knew you were being sarcastic but figured since the mom is looking for different spellings she would consider your ideas. That is why I left feedback.
I love it when people want to be "different" and stick their child w/ a name they will FOREVER have to spell for people and explain why it's mis-spelled. Auston? Ugh.

You can't think of any other ways to spell Hunter...so just spell it Hunter! He'll thank you for it when he's older and is the only one in the family that doesn't have his name misspelled every.single.day.
i think that it is crazy these blogs are talking about the way she spells her babies' name. IT'S NOT YOUR BABY so why talk about the way she wants to spell her babies' name. you did not have him and don't have to see him. People use different spelling to be unique. it's not up to you bloggers to like or not like. Suggest a name or state that you like it the way it is. Don't be ugly about the blogs i think that's just plain rude. she did not ask whether or not you agree with her changing the spelling. Some people can be so rude so don't worry about that.
i like Huntor or how bout haunter
hope you find a unique spelling that you like and will be happy with
This is not a blog, and the people posting responses aren't bloggers.
You're from a little hick town? Noooo way!
Seriously, it's bad enough you've inflicted years of spelling corrections on your other two kids. Just spell it Hunter.
And to the poster who called us "bloggers" and suggested Haunter--- ffs, Haunter? Seriously? Like a ghost?
People use different spelling to be unique. it's not up to you bloggers to like or not like.
1- if they want to be unique, then they can change the spelling of THEIR OWN name and suffer the consequences of it.
2- this is a public site and we can absolutely state if we like this or not. I don't see hwo its YOUR place to tell us what we can and can't say here.
I personally think jacking up the spelling of your childs name to be "unique" is silly, selfish, and pretty much makes you look llike you don't know how to spell.

ditto.
Grammar and spelling are your friends. Live it. Love it.
all i'm saying is why pick on the children's names now it is done. i can understand you saying use their own name but she didn't. i just wouldn't like anyone to talk about my babies name and i'm sure none of you would appreciate others talking about your children's name because in the end if thats on the birth cert. until they are old enough to say they don't like and want it changed it is their name. It can be changed if and when the child chooses. i don't think it fair to talk about the other kids. and EastCoastBride your right with statement numebr two it's not my place but i got angry when i felt like people were talking about the kids and i know everyone has their own thoughts about it i have just learned that you can't take these comments personally cause some of these i felt like was pretty darn hurtful.
i have nothing to say to this but you're right. n thanks. what makes it worse is spell check is here but i was just so mad at the comments. i should not have sent this comment anywaz oops anyway.
this might sound like a silly question... but what's the father's name?
Reason for my asking, my fiancee and I have decided on Fallon Elisabeth for a girl (middle name spelt with an "s" because that my name and spelling, and Conor Riley for a boy (only one "n" in Conor/Connor because his name is Denis... yes with one "n")
I went many years correcting people on how to SAY and spell my name. It hasn't harmed me in anyway. My simple response to when I was told my parents didnt know how to spell my name was: "It's MY name... how do YOU know if it's right or wrong??" The normal response was: "Because I've never seen it that way!" Another quick answer: "When now you have! (said with the biggest smile!)"
You can take pride that YOU are spelling Conor correctly & most other Americans are spelling it wrong.

This exactly. I just don't understand the appeal of using crazy spellings for your kids names, it just makes their lives harder when they are in school or applying for a job. It makes you look like you can't spell, it's sad.
good idea.
