2nd Trimester

Offloading onto unsuspecting people is very bad...

So which part of this pregnancy was supposed to be fun? Hmm I'm miserable! I guess I should point out now that I'm gonna be bitching and moaning like there's no tomorrow, meaning if you're ridiculously cheerful, you might wanna leave now! Wink

I hate being pregnant- so far all it's led to is fights with my SO (soon to be DH) and an increased sex drive. Not that that is always a bad thing, because Angry Sex definitely has a certain...likeability? Oh, don't look at me like that. It's the hormones!

Talking of the H word (unmentionable, never to be spoken of) seem to be causing all sorts of problems. For SO, surprisingly, not me. Everything seems to make him switch moods, and then everything is my fault!

It's my fault the Yankees lost to the Soxs, the Phillies, the Rangers, the Indians...the Rangers again...

It's my fault the store was out of Lucky Charms that time he finally dragged his ass out to do the groceries. It's my fault that his Stupid Damn Dog got hair and dog slobber on my suit. Apparently it's also my fault that I weigh less than I did before I got pregnant...OK, so maybe the last one is sorta my fault, but the rest of them? Give me a goddamn break!

Now I love my fiance, I really do. I love him enough to marry him, and there is no-one I would rather be having a baby with. But he's driving me crazy! I just wanna know if anyone else's Baby Daddy is like this- have you ever tried telling a Marine he's too overprotective? Indifferent

I really need a vacation. By myself. This is when it sucks to be a doctor. That's what I am, BTW, a doctor. I've delivered babies, yet the idea of squeezing a football out of my own uterus is completely unfamiliar. Completely terrifying, too.

I know, I know, having concerns is a typical response, only to be expected, yada yada yada. You know how many times I've told that to other women? Whenever I try to have a normal conversation with my BFF (who became a mother herself two weeks ago), all I get is "Well, you're the doctor. Write yourself a prescription or something."

A prescription for what?! Peanut butter sandwiches and carrot sticks?

Phew. Rant over. Sorry! Party!!! Any advice you could give about dealing with...life? Well, that would be great!

  • I think you could start up your own column in a newspaper :) Your rant had me laughing. Just take it one day at a time... maybe some prenatal yoga will help ease some tension.

  • Perhaps go shopping and buy some cute shoes.  That always make me feel better!  Or maybe a spa day??  Good Luck!

I definitely agree! Although you are ranting, your feelings are very relatable to probably the majority of pregnant women at one point or another! Lol! I think that you just need to hang out with a girlfriend for a day and get a massage or spend the day at a spa! That always makes a woman feel better! Big Smile
