Mr. Newt LOVES this thing--he sterilizes anything that isn't nailed down. I have the same worry about heating plastic so much, but since they took the BPA out of everything, it should be safe, right?
We haven't had anything come out looking cloudy except when he nuked a pacifier one time. We don't use that one anymore.
My stuff comes out cloudy too. I thought it was from hard water. I just wipe it off and use whatever I need. My stuff comes out cloudy from the dishwasher too.
Hmm, I wonder if it would be different if I used filtered water in the sterilizer. I'll try that next time.
