Bottles for sleep aid?

Ok I'm having a hard time breaking my DD of the bottle for a sleep aid.  I'm to blame, but need help.  My DD has sttn since she was 2 months old and I have just gone along for the peaceful ride.  Know she takes three bottles.  One before her morning nap, afternoon nap and then at bedtime.  I want to stop the bottles and try to get her to go to sleep on her own, but I'm afraid. She is just started taking the sippy cup within the last two weeks, so i just don't know what to do.  What did you ladies do to make the transisiton alot easier?  Anyone have the same dilemma?  Help

Re: Bottles for sleep aid?

  • We used bottles at bed until she was 1, but she very rarely STTN.  A few days after her b-day we went cold turkey on ALL bottles and formula.  She adjusted just fine.  We still rock her for a bit before we put her down, but she really had no issues dropping that bottle.  I think it was because we went cold turkey and she didn't get a bottle at all.
