Boon bath frog or lady bug - experiences?

I want to get this for DD and costco has a set that includes toys and stuff. I've heard some people say that it wouldn't stick to their shower. Ours is like a plastic insert, so the walls are the same material as the tub. Think it would stick? I'm wondering if those that had issues had a textured tile or other material.

  • It sounds like I have the same type of tub/shower that you do.   I don't have it myself, but my neighbor does (same type of bath) and she said she could never get her's to stick...

  • I've heard the ladybug sticks better. Not sure why. Maybe it's a tad smaller? I think as long as you make sure the wall is clean (rubbing alcohol) and dry before you apply the sticky tape it should be fine. The only bad experiences seem to be people who didn't apply per the instructions.
  • It can be mounted 3 diff ways. Suction cups, double sided mounting tape and screws. I tried the suction cups but even though I followed the instructions it wouldn't stick, but I have textured tile so I'm not surprised at all. Bff has smooth ceramic tile and hers stuck fine and is still hanging there. I am going to stick mine with the mounting tape and see if that works. I'm sure it will because I have used that kind of tape before with other things and it holds great!
  • We have the Frog Pod and I followed the cleaning instructions and have no problems with it at all. Our shower wall is smooth though, so that makes a difference. It's super cute and I love it!
  • It will not work if you have ANY texture... we have textured tile, so there was no way to make it work short of drilling holes into my shower wall. But if you have a really smooth, non-porous surface, it should work well.  Want mine?  ;)
