Newbie Question about Acupuncture...

Hi Everybody--

I am TTC and looking for an acupuncturist who specializes in gynecology/fertility. ?Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi - we didn't have any diagnosed issues with TTC, but I started acupuncture out of impatience after about 4 months of trying.  I had a fantastic experience (pregnant after just a few sessions!) at Moon River Acupuncture in Mt. Airy.  Who knows whether it was the intense relaxation or their formal treatment - I didn't care because it worked!  It made me feel less obsessed with the process of TTC, and made me feel like I was doing something proactive, unconditionally healthy, and non-invasive.  Plus, this practice is set up as a community clinic, so you have the option of paying between $30-$45 per session or paying the traditional rate for a private session.  Elise runs the clinic but Pam is the one who seems to specialize in fertility.  It looks like they are setting up a formal shop on G'town Ave. soon.  Their website is : https://www.moonriveracupuncture.com/ , but one warning is that the site isn't too professional looking.  I'd suggest giving Elise a call to speak with her directly, because they are really pleasant and helpful! 215.266.5757

    I used Steve Mavros and his team of acupuncturists in Old City - they're part of the Healing Arts Center at 2nd and Chestnut.  They were great, and specialize in trying to conceive and infertility.  Both times my IVF was successful (though first unfortunately ended in miscarriage) with the help of the acupuncture.  I highly recommend them.  https://www.tcmstrategies.com/  Good luck!
