I HATE Sean's new haircut

I took Sean to get his hair cut yesterday. I specifically told her not to cut off his curls, to just cut a tiny bit off the length so it wouldn't be in his eyes or ears but NOT to cut off his curls. So what did she do? Chopped them off. I almost cried. Of course I think he's still adoarble...but I miss his curls. And it's not even a good haircut...it's gapped up and uneven.

Ugh. He just looks so "corporate" now....like he needs a suit and tie.

So now I have to learn how to cut hair because I don't trust anyone else with his precious curls.

Re: I HATE Sean's new haircut

  • That first haircut is scary. At least it'll grow back fast. Maybe YouTube has some how-to videos.

  • Oh, no! : (
Same happened with Quentin. They really cut more than I asked for.
Forunately though, as he hair started to grow back, it got curly again!
I hope the same for your DS!
  • OMG! She cut off his curls when you asked her not to! What an friggin idiot. I would've been so upset also. Hopefully, they grow back quickly.

  • Did you go kick her a$$?  I would have!  Can you post a pic I want to see that cutie with no curls.

  • My mother was granted permission (after much begging and two unauthorized clippings) to trim his bangs.

She bowled him. He looks like Moe. He looks like Jim Carrey in "Dumb and Dumber." Now, admittedly, I participated, holding him, and it was very much like giving a cat a perm. But still.

I haven't taken any with the new haircut. I'll try to get one tomorrow and post it then. Yesterday he had on a collar shirt and khaki shorts and he looked like he was ready to hit the golf course. I'm just not ready for him to look all grown up!

I know it isn't funny...but it still made me LOL. Joseph and Sean will just have to grow theirs back in together.

The tragic thing...it makes his funny faces even funnier. So it's hard to really be that peeved. It's quite a bit shorter than my husband wanted though. Nanny doesn't get to cut it again.

If I was you, I'd be having a memorial service for those curls. And I hope you didn't pay the wench.

  • I'm sorry that happened.  DS's hair ended up a bit too short and "bowlish" at his last haircut.  I'm still waiting for it to grow in a little more so I can try to fix it a little.  Did you get to save some of the curls?
  • Now I am really scared about DS's first cut.  We have to do it soon. I love Sean's curls.  I hope they grow back quick.

  • oooh man I'd be pissed if that happened to my DS. So far I've only given him one haircut, and it was jsut a trim off the top. DH held him and it was super easy, and didn't take too long. My niece has curly hair, and my sister rarely gets her hair cut. hth

  • That sucks, but this is why I cut DS' hair myself. That and I don't see the point in spending the money when I cut DH's hair already.
  • Ugh, this is exactly why I am putting off getting his hair cut! My poor boy, his hair is constantly in his eyes, too-but I just can't bring myself to chop it!

  • Oh no!  I'm so sorry.  I bet it will grow back in no time.  And I'm sure he is still adoreable!

This is the exact reason I am terrified to get Ben's 1st haircut.  I love his little corkscrew curls and if someone lopped them off after I told them not too, I may strangle them.

    ditto!!

that siggy pic is so beautiful btw. his hair is positively gorgeous and i totally see how one could've trimmed around the face a bit and the neck but keep the curl!

  • mamapop has an instructional video, if you want to try it yourself.  GL!

  • I'm so sorry to hear that.

This is exactly why I have yet to take Chase for his 1st haircut. I'm too afraid.
