Is it a bad idea to do IUI when DH sick?

DH has a sinus infection and has been on antihistamine for a few days now.  He's not getting much better and I'm worried this pricey injectable cycle will be bust since the RE is already concerned about his morphology (16-25% WHO).  WWYD?  Would you cancel it or take your chances?

    I think I would wait to make sure you were putting your best foot forward, so to speak.  I assume your RE will only do a certain # of IUI cycles so you wouldn't want to waste one with a less than ideal circumstance.   I know it's hard to wait. I am coming to terms with having to wait until my h's white blood cells are taken care of and it sucks!

    I'll just tell you what happened to us. ?DH had a cold of some sort a few weeks before our IUI. ?He had a fever and had to take a day off work which he never does (so he felt pretty bad). ?Anyway when he gave his sample it turned out to be low motility. ?He has taken ?3 SAs before that which were above average in motility morph and count. ?He has taken 2 after which showed normal to above average counts, morph, motility. ?So the one time in which he had a cold a few weeks before totally killed his sample and we were unable to do the IUI. ?Thank goodness I was only on clomid at the time. ?

    O.K. that being said, I bet it will be o.k. as long as your DH does not have a fever. ?My RE believes that it was the fever that messed up my DHs sample and nothing else.

    I called my doc and the nurse wasn't too worried.  She said the sperm we'd be using was made 45 days ago so if we was sick 45 days ago then maybe they'd be concerned.... so I guess we proceed nonetheless and cross our fingers this cycle works.
