How do you collect urine for the doctor

when you can't reach down there and stay in that position long enough to pee in the cup? It hurts. I can't do it. I can reach long enough to wipe but I can't reach long enough to hold the cup while I pee. Also when I lean that way it cuts off my pee, I guess due to positioning of the baby and stuff. LOL! This is a serious question too.

Do you think the doctor will let me slide on my pee today? They just tested it Friday and it's been the same for months now.

    Hahaha...I've been getting that way, too!!! I have no idea what to do, but at least you're not alone!

    hmmm...maybe bring something bigger to catch it in like one of those big plastic keg cups so you dont have to try to reach as far with little cup and then pour it in?

    At my doc's office I just have to pee on the test strip. It's becoming increasingly difficult because the strip is TINY and I can't see when I pee. I end up peeing on my hand most of the time.

    Good thing urine is sterile!

    Hahaha I have a similar problem every time I go, and I was thinking last time, that it will only get worse.  Right now, when I lean to hold the cup it makes my pee come out at wierd angles and so it's like a game to try to catch any in the cup!  I can only imagine how much harder it will get in the coming weeks!

    i usually end up peeing all over my hand. As long as they get just a little bit in the cup- that is all they need. You don't want to miss a possible UTI, etc- so yeah, the pee thing is pretty important.

    My sister is a school nurse and she was telling me about these things used for little girls to catch their pee in. It is called a "hat", kind of like a cup with a big rim that sits under the toilet seat so then she can just sit and go. I said that OBs should have those and I really meant it!!!!!!!

    Not only is it very uncomfortable but yeah does hurt to bend like that lol. A few weeks ago I was peeing in the cup and it slipped out of my hand, needless to say there was pee EVERYWHERE including my pants. yeah so I had to see my OB with piss pants. DH was with me and all he could do was laugh, jerk
