Does your DC still eat baby cereal?

Since DD is on spoon strike, she doesn't get cereal anymore unless she eats the Yobaby Cereal and Yogurt. (Yogurt is the only thing she will eat with a spoon.) Do I need to worry about this since she is still getting plenty of iron from formula??

  • I wouldn't worry about it.  We haven't given DD cereal in months.  If your DD's on formula, she probably gets plenty of iron.

  • I think we stopped cereal at 8 months.
  • We do cereal and fruit mix once or twice a week b/c she still enjoys it!

  • I think we stopped cereal around 8-9 months so I wouldn't worry about it.
  • Yes, he eats oatmeal with fruit at day care in the morning.  He's pretty indifferent about feeding himself.  I don't think it's a big deal though if she's getting plenty or iron from other sources.

  • DS loves adult organic instant oatmeal so he eats that most days for breakfast.   He lets me feed him some and then does the rest himself.
  • Can you put a little on the spoon before dipping for each bite of yogurt? She may not even notice. Sometimes I do that for Luke. He loves oatmeal and won't eat the "adult" kind yet so we still give it to him.
