  We are going to Mystic on vacation this year. We are going to do the aquarium and then site see the Seaport...and of course Mystic Pizza!

  We go about once a month.  It isn't too long of a ride from my house.  We've even stayed across the street at the hotel for mini get a ways.  We do the aquarium (and your ticket is good for 2 days), Mystic Pizza, the shops right near the aquarium.  Dd loves the duck pond there.  When we are at Mystic Pizza, we like to walk around in the little center there and watch the boats come in and out.  We used to do the casino before dd, lol but don't do that anymore.  From our house it is about a 90 min ride.  Not a tough traffic ride either once you get through Providence.  DD loves the sea lion show and the touching sea creatures exhbit.

  There is SOOO much to do around there! I used to live in mystic!  I love the aquarium, and there is Mystic Village--all little shops, adjacent to the aquarium.  In downtown mystic are more shops and restaurants.  You can also go to Mystic Seaport which is historical type fun.   There's a submarine museum in New London, and some beautiful driving along the coast from Groton on North (Rt 1, I think)  The village of Stonington is really cute too! There's a lobster place in New London called Abbots in the rough that's totally new england lobster casual.  Other things to do-take the ferry to block island for a day trip, or get a hotel and stay over.

  I think there's also an american indian museum near Foxwoods (Peqout tribe maybe?)
