  Ds wore sleepers the first few weeks. It didn't cause any problems.

  We did the t-shirts and "gowns" (can't remember what they're called).  It made it easier for me as a first time parent to get to the diaper to see if it was wet and change it.

  I had DS is onesies under a sleep-n-play or zip-up gown as a NB. I didn't put pants on till umbilical cord fell off b/c they would rub it!

  And his didn't fall off for 4 weeks, so it can be a while!
