Sadly LO is starting daycare on Monday. I'm trying to get all his stuff together so I can drop it off tomorrow. So far, I have diapers, wipes, a jacket, two oneies, an extra pair of pants, a blanket (will they let him use this?). What am I missing? Where you allowed to bring a toy to attach to LO's crib? Did you always send LO with socks on? Most of the time at home LO is bare foot - especially since it's summer. Oh, the panic attacks are starting ![]()
Re: Daycare Mom's come in please...
Add:
lotion, balmex, etc- (anything that you'd like LO to use that you know doesn't cause a reaction)
pacifier
hat
pair of shorts (especially with summer coming up)
He always goes in socks but sometimes kicks them off, you can bring toys to attach- make sure they're labeled, ditto w/ the blanket.
Ask what they want.
Mine wants 2 changes of clothing. They have toys and blankets. They welcome lovies and I send a case of formula, wipes and diapers and they keep the bottles there, she provides food. She also washes clothing that she keeps there. They each have estra socks and sweat shirts there.
I would ask your daycare for their list. I know mine won't let you put anything in the crib except a pacifier (I think its a state thing, or maybe insurance?)
One thing they suggested to me, was that I sleep w/ one of DD's blankets for a few days before she started and then the DCP would wear the blanket when feeding DD or if she got fussy. I thought that was a great idea and probably a big help for DD. I try to make sure she's got 5 full changes of clothes there at all times. And, I just switch it out every week.
