Babies: 0 - 3 Months

i think we're going to switch daycares after 2 weeks...

i can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something that i really don't like about our daycare.  i realize that the transition to daycare will take some getting used to, but it's more than that...it's just this really bad feeling i get when i leave her there.  anyone else ever feel this way?

  • i would start looking.  i never felt that way leaving S at daycare.  and honestly, i love when i go pick him up and he smiles at the ladies that work there.  makes me think that he really does enjoy his time with them.

  • I would find another one too.  It's called mother's intuition and I'm betting 99% of the time it's right.

As much of a hassle it would be, I say go with your gut. Mommy intuition is always right.

Not the feeling you should get AT all.  I know no mom wants to leave her child at daycare but she should feel good about the caregivers at least.

  • i had an in home daycare lined up but second guessed my decision for months. then she called and couldn't take ds b/c her assistant quit.  It was my way out.  I found my current daycare and  feel it was a blessing in disguise.  This woman is great and I don't worry about leaving him there.  I know she is taking good care of him.

I'd be looking ASAP...a Mom is never wrong about those things.
  • ditto all the others - we're not at my #1 choice daycare, but I have no "weird" feelings about it at all.  I know DD loves everybody there.
