excersaucer question

DH says DS sholuld not be able to stand flat footed in the excersaucer, so right now DS can't even reach the bottom. Is that right?

Is he short? I don't think it's the best for him to be suspended, but I don't think it'll hurt him to be in it. What kind do you have? DS can stand/reach in his. It's evenflo I think.

We have the evenflo and he can stand flat when it's on the lowest setting, but he can't reach on the next setting. DH said DS isn't suppose to be able to stand flat footed, so he has it on the second setting.

DS loves to practice standing, that's one of the reasons I bought the contraption.

  • The directions to my exersaucer say the child should be flat footed.  The point is for them to be able to move around so no if he can't reach the bottom he's too short. And please don't use a blanket to prop him up.

Hmm, I found the instruction booklet, and evidently DH is right. It says to never let the child stand flatfooted, that they should be on their toes.
