What BC are you using after baby?

I got pregnant on the Depo shot, and on the pill (ortho-cyclen), so for obvious reasons I don't want to go back on either of those. My OB is pushing me to get a Mirena, but people have told me their husbands can feel the strings during sex and that just can't be cool. I also watched some youtube videos of IUDs being put in and taken out...no thanks, I think I've had enough things come through my cervix lately. I am thinking of using NuvaRing. Anyone else for NuvaRing? Any stories/advice about any method of BC welcome!

    My friend uses the ring and she loves it. I think I might try that if I have to take my mirena out.

    Is the NuvaRing the thing where you can't get pg for like, years???  I forget if it is the NuvaRing or not.  But if you are planning to have any more kids in the future, just be careful not to get something that is semi-permanent like that.  Of course, if you know you don't want any more kids, then that is not an issue for you.  GL!  Sorry I don't have any advice!

    For WIW, My husband cant 'feel' the string, I have Mirena and I like it, I've only had it just over 2 months now, so the random bleeding/spotting is just starting to settle down, but my sister also has it, and she has no complaints....Also, my OB left the string long, didnt trim it, I was advised that the shorter the string, the more he feels it.

    The Nuva ring isn't semi-permanant. It took my friend 4 months to get pregnant after she stopped using it.

    I am a LOYAL NuvaRing user since 2001, LOL!  Love it!!  I got pregnant on the 2nd try after taking it out.  I hope to go back on it after I nurse.  I love that I would just put a new ring in every 30 days and skipped my period.  I only "let" myself get a period maybe 2-3x a year.  Love, love, love the NuvaRing!

    Thanks! That was the other thing I was gonna ask was if you could just keep putting the ring in and skip your period. I think im gonna go with this!

    I just started the nuvaring and so far so good. I am experiencing breakthrough bleeding right now but it is normal for starting a new BC
